This is an only pointer.cur, that you can use for check which cursor size your monitor uses.

WHY THIS?

Windows choose automatically a cursor size based on the resolution and the scale set in your monitor. The goal of this pointer.cur is to see which cursor size you monitor uses, so you can check if a cursor pack is compatible with your resolution.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

  • Right click in the Install.inf file name (Do not right click in the empty space, it has to be in the file name)
  • Click in the option "install"

(Or if the install.inf doesn't work for you)

  • Open the folder arm
  • Right click on the install.bat file
  • Select the option "Run as administrator"
  • If a blue screen appear saying that Windows protected your PC, click on "More info" and then the button "Run anyway". This can be scary but you can open the files (install.bat and script.ps1) with the notepad and see what they does. You can copy and paste on ChatGPT or whatever and ask for what it does. In summary, the install.bat only execute the code in the script.ps1 (PowerShell script) but with administrator privileges to be able to copy the cursors files on the C://Windows/Cursors directory file and set them as the current cursor.

MANUAL INSTALLATION GUIDE

You always can install any cursor manually.

  • Copy the cursor file arrow.cur in a new folder on C:\Windows\Cursors\the_name_tha_you_want.
  1. Open the mouse settings by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse settings.
  2. Open the tab "Pointers".
  3. Select the cursor, using the "Browse..." button.

Now you will be able to see the cursor size that is being used by your device.
